EL PHAROS GROUP is a group dedicated to blending health related information with entertainment in order for the public to be informed on basic health concerns and also dedicated towards raising pacesetters and promoting new talents and encouraging other youths within the medical environment and even outside.The group comprises of Victor Vermes Naydu( C.E.O. EL PHAROS ), Alexander Omoruyi ( Logistics ), Kunle Otuyo Jnr. ( Creative Director ), Shemziyat Kadir ( Communications and Publicity ).

The group this year is holding its second edition of its “SAVE A WOMAN BREAST CANCER AWARENESS CAMPAIGN / MR & MISS MEDILAG 2013” event scheduled to hold on the 2nd day of May, 2013 at the prestigious New Great Hall, LUTH, Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi Araba, College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria. The event is powered by Sulcata Entertainment and supported by the Medical student body (COMPSSA).The event would entail a campaign where volunteers would move out en masse with banners, shirts and poster and information based flyers round three wide points, University of Lagos, Akoka, Mushin local Government and Surulere Local Government, where volunteers would be educating women and men (young and old) on the malignant infection and the beauty pageant.

GRAND SLAMMING PANS HEALTH WEEK/BREAST CANCER AWARENESS WEEK

If you have not heard it , hear it now oh! Lets the drums roll now. Its PANS Health Week. The most anticipated health week of the year. It is going to be fun packed, you would cry if you missed it for anything. Talk of the events lined up , we have the traditional day and open mic night on Monday, the awareness campaign and beauty pageant on Tuesday, the symposium on Wednesday and the grand dinner which would host stars like BYNO, Joe Blue, TOLU PROJECT FAME, Flossick and DR. JEFFREY and anchoring by MC Abbey . The Health week is slated to hold from the 25th to the 30th of June 2012. The Health week this year promises to be completely fun filled even though there are speculations that the week is way fast approaching, but fellow PANSITES, if we can write an exam with just two weeks prior information , we can do better. On Monday, there would be the traditional day, i implore everyone to get their outfits for that day ready as there would be a photoshoot for each class before the evening of that day which would host some very intersting acts and stars in the open mic night, the social secretary and his assistant are really working Xtremely hard to ensure that we all have a very good time . On Tuesday morning, volunteers would be heading out for the breast cancer awareness campaign at various places surrounding us going to educate outsiders on the dangers of breast cancer. On that same tuesday evening, Medlag would be crowning its first one and only official queen and breast cancer awareness ambassador  at the miss medilag beauty pageant. On Wednesday, we'll be holding our general academic symposium tagged " GLOBAL PHARMACY: THE POSITION OF NIGERIA " . On Thursday evening, there would be the hosting of the most memorable and grandest dinner ever experienced. On Friday, Pansites would embark on an industrial visit and humanitaian visit and finally on saturday, there would be mind blowing beach party.

Greatest students of the prestigious school of pharmacy and the college of medicine, it has been two years since we last had the opportunity to rightly choose our delectible beauties. this year, the scintillatingly structured and undeniable dazzling beauties would fiercely compete for the most wanted crown in the College of Medicine. Its the Miss Medilag Beauty Pageant / Breast Cancer Awareness Ambassador 2012.It is the grandest beauty pageant coming to Medilag. MISS MEDILAG BEAUTY PAGEANT 2012 promises to be way interesting as there would be guest star appearances including JOE BLUE ( Nigerian Idol Season 2), Alex Ekubo ( Top Model , Mr. Nigeria 2010 Runner Up ), Deji Bakare ( MR. NIGERIA 2011 ), BYNO, NERY COLLINS, KAUZ, PRAIZ, TERRY DA RAPMAN. Anchoring the show is Onyimadu Nkiruka (ENKAY) and Chike Seun ( UNILAG 103.1 FM ). The Winner gets N100,000 worth of prizes and a Blackberry phone. The runners-up would not be left out too.
